New for 2010 Changes this year include a new grille similar to the ones on Acura's TSX and TL sedans, updated taillights and tailpipes, a new steering wheel, revised gauges and some new high-tech options. An Advance Package replaces last year's Sport Package, and a six-speed automatic transmission supplants last year's five-speed automatic.

The seven-seat MDX enjoyed a complete redesign for 2007,
adding more horsepower, a 5,000-pound tow rating and Acura's Super Handling
All-Wheel Drive, so changes for 2008 are few. There's a new paint color called
Sterling Gray Metallic, and the automatic-dimming rearview mirror is now
standard. Acura also offers its navigation system in Hawaii now, and has
extended its real-time traffic feature to almost twice as many metropolitan
areas as before, for a total of 76. The MDX is a single trim level, leaving
Technology and Sport option packages to distinguish one version from
another.

XM Satellite Radio became standard for 2005, and all models equipped with Acura's navigation system got General Motors' OnStar communication system. The navigation system was enhanced to include additional voice commands, and the Touring Package got HandsFreeLink phone operation, which allows a compatible mobile phone to be used as a hands-free car phone. Acura's Vehicle Stability Assist electronic stability system was enhanced.
Touring Package models for 2006 have an ebony-colored zebra wood pattern on the console and door switches, as well as refined satin chrome accents. Under new testing standards established by the Society of Automotive Engineers, the MDX's 3.5-liter V-6 is now rated at 253 horsepower.
